Who builds HCR
HCR is built by Pmine Research, the applied Rust research group of Field of Dream Studio, with advisors from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Between them: systems programming, robotics, HCI, and computing education.

Bio
Application oriented researcher and Rust systems engineer with a computer engineering background, and a manager of FDS. Focuses on the application of fundamental theory through new architecture designs — high-performance async systems, multi-protocol web frameworks, robotics simulation, domain-specific languages, and adaptive learning technology — building type-safe, extensible architectures, leading research-oriented projects, and mentoring student teams. Holds a BEng in Computer Science from Hubei University of Arts and Science and is reading for an MSc in Information Technology Management at Hong Kong Baptist University.

Mohammed Aquil Mirza is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computing at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a Senior Member of IEEE — an internationally recognized researcher and educator with expertise in AI, AIoT, robotics, sensor networks, medical imaging, LLMs, VLMs, VLAs, and agentic AI. His work spans inclusive computing education, computerized adaptive testing, smart health systems, intelligent construction monitoring, neural-network robot control, and service-learning pedagogy. He received the PolyU Early Career Teaching Faculty Award (2025) and the IETI Teaching Excellence Award (2026), and was the University Nominee for the UGC Teaching Award (Early Career Faculty, 2026).
